The Fieldhouse

The epitome of mountain modern in this gorgeous new build residence off of 131. Clean lines, a mixing of metals and tailored selections that can stand on their own, while effortlessly weaving into the timeless interiors.

residential

Crawford Ave

An addition and large remodel of a historic home downtown, meticulously planned through every detail. Some clients just ‘get you’ and in this case late night texts of fixture ideas going back and forth while joking about being ‘cursed with good taste’ made this one an absolute delight.

residential

Littlefish

This new build was inspired by the clients travels in Japan. The balance of creating a space that felt both timeless and new while combining clean lines with subtle details that peak your interest as you turn each corner. A refection of true originality.

Commercial

Yampa Valley Community Foundation

The polished new headquarters for the Yampa Valley Community Foundation embodies every essence of the organizations hard work across the Yampa Valley. It was a privilege to be involved in from the ground up.

Salt & Lime Restaurant

Colorful, vibrant, and texture galore. The basket pendant lights serving as the private dining room light are handwoven and were imported from Spain. Each fixture in this space has its own unique personality and how they all work together is pure happiness.

Residential

Larimer Residence

Spec houses are the perfect opportunity to hand pick fixtures that balance restraint as well as evoking a feeling of excitement. Subtle, clean lines, with consistent metal tones throughout. The real surprise is the 24’ dining room light.

Hop House Brewery

A stunning renovation that feels both new and old when you step inside. Penny tile, school house globe pendants, thick glass rod column sconces all enhance an elevated warm and inviting feeling to grab a beer and stay awhile.

Commercial

Alpine Bank

Updating a Steamboat institution to reflect their pivotal role in our community. Warm and welcoming were key, but in a cool mountain modern way.

Downtown Modern-Transitional

Transitional, but make it fresh. A new construction home in downtown Steamboat serving as a part time base for a fun and active family. A three story staircase has hand blown LED glass bulbs dripping down across all levels. Black fixtures with pops of oak intertwined. Clean and timeless!

Residential

Bridge Over Butcherknife

When you have to walk over a bubbling creek to get into your house— I’m sold. Packed full of charm and we infused some fun fixtures to brighten things up. The introduction of brass tones, and updated elegant silhouettes just enhance the already delightful space.

Residential

Tree Haus Dream Haus

This is the dream! A designer and contractor duo that have flawless taste. We had fun blending old and new, modern and rustic striking just the right balance for a home to entertain, relax, and have many more memories in the future.

Residential

Hilltop House

What happens when lighting designer picks fixtures for her own house— well you get a whimsical eclectic mix of fixtures that are part art, part light. 16’ high ceilings, bright white interior and wide open windows. My favorite is when we turn on the multiple ‘layers’ of light at night and fixtures appear to be floating.

Mountain Architecture Office Phase One

A 100 year old office space tucked right in the middle of downtown that was a time capsule of original floors, insanely tall ceilings, and character features that made me squeal as I walked through the first time. Striking the balance of honoring the old while infusing the new was such a treat.

Commercial

Big House Restaurant

A wide open restaurant concept and the art of creating defined spaces. The black marble base pendants are draped at varying lengths over the bar on a custom steel apparatus. The play on the wagon wheel chandelier in the entry in combination with the hooded pendants + leather strap sets up an updated and polished rustic tone.

Residential

Fairway Meadows

A 70’s remodel that has been loving transformed into a show piece. Pops of personality delight around every corner. Brass, black, enamel white, all expertly mixed to work together transforming this family home into a fresh forever home.

Residential

Crested Butte

A beautiful new build in Crested Butte. A client with impeccable taste and a clear vision. Clean lines, a focus on natural materials, mixed metals, cool and unexpected fixture placement all while layering it all together to create a chic space that exudes cool.

Residential

Lynx Pass

A more modern approach to a cabin feel that feels familiar but updated at the same time. High ceilings and an open layout serving as multi use space required us to create pockets of defined spaces that were both creative and flexible.

Commerical

Mazzolas Restaurant

A restaurant and a bar underground is the ultimate mood. Mazzola’s has perfected it with a cozy, stay awhile vibe. With no natural light in the space, relying on the sconces and pendants to set the tone, all while selecting low maintenance fixtures was key. No need to sacrifice style!

Residential

Ski Trail Lane

Classic mountain style, nested on coveted Ski Trail Lane. A beautiful new construction home that plays homage to traditional elements including a combination of hand rubbed bronze and brass while injecting little gems of detail throughout.

Residential

Old Town

A transitional beauty. New construction for a fun and active family in the heart of downtown. Interesting and playful fixture shapes with layers of light throughout turns this into such a happy home.

Residential

Wildhorse

It all started with the three story staircase— We knew we needed a fixture that could span 30’ and this multi-drop bubble glass fixture fit the bill. We paired this with natural alabaster wall sconces, sleek black island pendants, and a clean and cool dining chandelier.

REsidential

Fairview

A couple with European flair building their Steamboat home. From the first conversation the idea of simple, but intentional fixtures that were both beautifully designed striking the perfect balance between utilitarian and whimsy.

Commercial

Creekside

A total Steamboat staple with the most charming location. The windmill fans, touches of crystal and and classic shapes of exterior hoods with touches of brass all add to the ambiance. Best brunch spot in town!

Commercial

Mountain Architecture Phase Two

Could be biased but I don’t know if anything screams more modern and fresh. Phase one included Mountain Architectures main office space. Phase 2 included a large common area as multiple reception, meeting rooms, and a private office space. Clients that encourage thinking outside the box are always a favorite! Chrome and brass— Can’t get enough!

Residential

County Road Contemporary

Off the most non-descript dirt road is this absolute gem. A client with a developed and well versed sense of style who was an advocate for every detail. Pair that with the most playful sense that anything is possible and magic happens! Each fixture has a purpose, sensible functionality, and immense planning and attention to detail and its surroundings.

Residential

Chadwick Estates

The ‘new traditional’ standard. A remodel down to the studs gave way to this timeless aesthetic. Mixing metal tones, while focusing on quality fixtures with touches of detail marry perfectly to create a classic, well-edited space.

Residential

Old Town

A remodeled craftsman full of character on one of the most sought after streets downtown. A true gem with elements like school house globes, thick prismatic glass flush mounts, art lights, hand forged island pendants while focusing on period feeling silhouettes that feel anything but ordinary.

Residential

Giant Sky Ranch

A modern spec home which melts into its surroundings—My kind of place! Expansive views and a cohesive approach to lighting that happily enhanced, but acted as a quiet compliment to the picturesque scenery.

Residential

Clark

A custom forever home with no detail spared. Tucked into the trees off a long winding driveway, this stunning oasis feels like a whole different world. Combining a rustic, modern feel created the perfect mood for entertaining and cozy enough for snowed in winter nights.

Barn Village

Understated cool. Wide open floor plan paired with streamlined fixtures provide the perfect canvas for a mountain modern home. Perfect for long days on the mountain and snowed in nights at home.

residential

Tree Haus

Quintessential mountain home in Tree Haus. A home base for extended ski weekends with family and friends. Iron metal tones, hand carved walnut blade fans, and the custom stairwell fixture clusters Edison bulbs which gives off the most inviting glisten as you pull up to the driveway.

Residential

Barn Village

Texture and crystal— Can’t go wrong. From the dazzling mercury glass entry fixture, to the faceted glass power bath pendants, and the showstopper of thick crystal ball pendants over the stairwell, this house has an undeniable elegant charm to it.

Residential

Missouri Ave

Inspired by a period home in Aspen that received a tasteful extension. Bringing that sensibility to Steamboat, the clients clear vision and honed in sense of style has this house styled complete out of an issue of Dwell magazine.
